Testimony starts today in a Pike County, Illinois murder trial.

A jury and alternates including eight men and six women are in place following jury selection Monday in the first degree murder trial of Joesph Coffman. Coffman is on trial for the July 19, 2014 stabbing death of his half brother, Dennis Coffman, along I-72 just east of Hannibal at the Hull Exit.

Opening statements are scheduled today in Pittsfield. If convicted, Joseph Coffman faces 20 to 60 years in prison.
