Last week I was planning on taking a trip to Chicago with my family and noticed that all museums required proof of vaccinations for ages 12 and up. With the mask mandate now ending for the state of Illinois, the museum has posted that they are no longer requiring proof of vaccinations and mask wearing. The Field Museum is one of those lifting the requirements,

In accordance with the City of Chicago’s updated guidelines, the Field Museum no longer requires proof of vaccination against COVID-19 or masks for museum visitors. However, we strongly encourage all of our guests to wear masks while in the building. Some exceptions may apply for museum events. If you have registered for an event, your event organizer will communicate any specific requirements.

Along with the Field Museum, Shedd Aquarium, The Museum of Science & Industry, The Adler Planetarium (which reopens March 4), and The Chicago History Museum no longer require proof of vaccination or mask-wearing, however, the Chicago Art Museum is requiring both.

With these new changes happening I can see Chicago becoming a big tourist attraction this Spring Break and summer. I have missed going to that city and looking forward to getting back for a visit. I have not been to a museum in years and I can't wait to take the kids and get back.

LOOK: What 25 Historic Battlefields Look Like Today

The following is an examination of what became of the sites where America waged its most important and often most brutal campaigns of war. Using a variety of sources, Stacker selected 25 historically significant battlefields in American history. For each one, Stacker investigated what happened there when the battles raged as well as what became of those hallowed grounds when the fighting stopped.

These are the battlefields that defined the United States military’s journey from upstart Colonial rebels to an invincible global war machine.
