A judge heard arguments Wednesday asking for a change of venue for the first degree murder trial of Curtis Lovelace.

Attorneys representing Lovelace filed for a change of venue in June citing publicity in area media. Special Prosecuting Attorney Ed Parkinson disagrees and says an impartial jury can be found in Adams County. Judge Bob Hartwick is reviewing the matter and says he will have a decision soon.

Lovelace is accused of killing his first wife Corey in February of 2006. He was arrested last August outside his law office after Quincy Police re-opened the investigation in to Corey Lovelace's death. Lovelace is a former Adams County Assistant State's Attorney and former Quincy School Board member.
