Midsummer Arts Faire, Fiesta Del Sol and HORSE on Weekend Schedule

Whether you're into enjoying the arts, partying into the night or making that impossible hoops shot, this is your weekend.

The annual Midsummer Arts Faire runs Friday through Sunday in Washington Park in Quincy. Highlights include Blues in the District Friday, a Farmers Market Saturday, along with an art exhibition, the Taste of Quincy food court and Art for Everyone activities.

Hannibal Parks and Recreation's next Movies in the Park event is Friday night in Huckleberry Park. Preshow activities begin at 8:30 p.m., with The Lego Movie to be shown at 9.

Hannibal Parks & Rec is also hosting a HORSE basketball tournament Saturday morning at 9:30 at the Norfolk and Southern Multi-Sports Complex at Sixth and Warren Barrett Drive.

The Timewell Lion's Club hosts its 26th annual Toy Show Saturday and Sunday at the Timewell, Illinois gym.

The Durham Community Center's 52nd annual fish fry and carnival is Saturday, with activities starting at 5 p.m.

The Rotary Club of Hannibal's annual Fiesta Del Sol takes place in Central Park. Music, food and craft beer will be featured, beginning at 11 a.m.

The Ashburn Rural Volunteer Fire Department hosts a turkey shoot at the fire station at noon Sunday, with the proceeds helping with operating expenses and the purchase of equipment.
