September Concerts You Don’t Want to Miss
There will be several chances to see country music stars in concert during the month of September. Whether you're a fan of new country, or prefer the classics, there's probably a show for you scheduled in the coming weeks.
The concert lineup at the Midwest Old Threshers Reunion is impresive. Parmalee and Jon Pardi will both perform on the grandstand, as will country legends like Sammy Kershaw, Aaron Tippin, Leroy Van Dyke, Johnny Lee, and others. The Midwest Old Threshers Renunion is September 3-7 in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa.
The Blue Note in Columbia will present Summerfest on 9th Street, featuring Chase Rice, Justin Adams and the Brian Bax Band on September 10 at 7 p.m.
Neal McCoy will be in Auxvasse, Missouri on Friday, September 11 for Music on Main. Gates open at 6 p.m. Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the gate.
Some of country's biggest stars have headlined the Tri-State Rodeo in Ft. Madison. This year's rodeo will be September 9-12, 2015 at the C.E. Richards Arena. Chase Rice will perform on Friday, September 11, and Brett Eldredge will have a concert on Saturday, September 12. Both shows will begin at 7:30PM, doors will open an hour prior to each show.
The Charlie Daniels Band will headline this year's Concert in the Cornfield in South Jacksonville, Illinois. The concert is Saturday, September 12. Tickets in advance are $20. They can be purchased online.
David Lee Murphy will be making a return to Boondocks in Springfield, Illinois on September 12. Tickets are $15.
Country legend Tanya Tucker will be at Western Hall on the campus of Western Illinois University on Sunday, September 13. Tickets are on sale at the customer service desk at the Macomb Hy-Vee, at State Bank of Industry, or by phone at 309-569-8417. Admission is $25.
Critically acclaimed singer/songwriter, and CMA, ACM and Grammy winner Kacey Musgraves will appear at The Pageant in St. Louis on Friday, September 18.
Riverside Casino and Resort in Riverside, Iowa is bringing Thompson Square to perform on September 25. Ticket prices range from $30-$60. Hotel packages are available for $290. This is a big one. So big, in fact, that Taylor Swift's 1989 Tour is going to perform on two nights in St. Louis on September 28 and September 29. The Scottrade Center is the location.
Shania Twain's farewell Rock This Country Tour has been so successful that she's added concert dates. If you miss her in St. Louis on August 4, you can catch the concert at the Peoria Civic Center on September 29. Gavin DeGraw will open.
