Quincy Police say a twenty-year-old woman was able to fend off a man who was trying to pull her into a van. 

According to a news release from the Quincy Police Department, the woman was walking to her home in the area of 9th and Kentucky around 3 p.m. when a man jumped out of a parked vehicle, grabbed her, and tried to pull her into a van. The woman was able to get away unharmed and ran home. The vehicle left southbound through the alley 8th to 9th/York to Kentucky.

According to the victim, the attacker was approximately 5'9", brown hair, wearing a black sweatshirt and blue jeans and white tennis shoes. The driver of the van was a white male with sunglasses and a baseball cap. The van was a full size van with no side or rear windows. Both men are thought to be in their early 20's.
