A four-car chain-reaction crash results in DUI charges for a Quincy man.  Quincy Police, Adams County Sheriff Deputies, and Quincy Fire crews responded to 5th and Maine at 10:15 p.m. Saturday.

Officers say 37-year-old Jason Courson of Quincy was traveling eastbound on Maine Street when his car struck the rear of a vehicle driven by 36-year old Michael Little of Maywood, Illinois.  Little was stopped behind traffic at 5th and Maine.

The force of the impact caused the Little car to strike the rear of a car driven by Mary Murphy of Kirkwood, Missouri.  Murphy’s car was pushed into the rear of a car driven by 73 year-old Larry Kabrick of Fowler.

Police say one passenger in the Little vehicle suffered minor injuries and was treated and released at Blessing Hospital.

Courson had minor injuries and was also treated and released at Blessing Hospital.  Officers then arrested and booked Courson for Failure to Reduce Speed and DUI.  He was released on cash bond.
