The Hannibal Pirates win on the road, while the Palmyra Panthers come out on the short end at home in high school football action Friday night.

The Pirates maintains their undefeated 2015 campaign with a 56-13 win at Moberly. It was another big night for Shamar Griffith, racking up 303 yards rushing and scoring four touchdowns. TD passes were caught by Josh Arnold and Devon Thomas.

It was a classic defensive struggle in Palmyra Friday night, as the home team suffered its first loss of year, 7-6 to Centralia.

Centralia scored first on a touchdown pass early in the second quarter. Palmyra answered early in the second half on a short run by quarterback Ben Cheffey. The try for the two-point conversion failed, and that turned out to be the difference.
