The Labor Day weekend is a busy one, and one of the reasons why is all the football coverage you can hear on our family of stations.

Our coverage begins Thursday, with the Kansas City Chiefs closing out their preseason schedule at the Edward Jones Dome as they take on the St. Louis Rams. You can hear that game on 97.9 KICK-FM with Mitch Holthus and Len Dawson. Pregame starts at 6 p.m. with the kick-off at 7.

Friday night, it's high school action, as the unbeaten Hannibal Pirates hit the road for the first time in the 2015 season, traveling to Boonville. That will be on khmoradio.com with Bill Shuler and Coach Terry Ahern. Pregame is at 6:40 p.m., with the kick-off at 7.

Meanwhile, the Palmyra Panthers are also on the road, looking for their third win of the season at Highland. Harold Smith has the call on Y101 and y101radio.com, also with a 6:40 pregame and 7 p.m. kick-off.

Then, on Saturday, the SEC East Division Champion Missouri Tigers open their 2015 season at Farout Field in Columbia, as they take on Southeast Missouri State. With the Cardinals playing Saturday afternoon on KHMO, the Mizzou game can be heard on Y101, with a 2 p.m. pregame and a 3 o'clock kick-off with Mike Kelly.

And, don't forget the Friday Football Focus and the Monday Morning Quarterbacks, with Bill, Harold and Terry at 7:30ish Friday and Monday on News Talk 1070 and khmoradio.com.
