New Group Steps Up to Take Over Avenue of Lights

It appears the Avenue of Lights will shine on.

Avenue of Lights organizer John Groves announced Monday that a group has come forward to take over operation of the display. Groves says the Avenue of Lights board still have to iron out an agreement with the new group.

The display had been in danger of going out of business had another group not stepped up.

The annual Christmas lights display has been a fixture in Moorman-Wavering Park in Quincy since 1999.
