The office first day of the Jackson-Lincoln pool opening is June 5, and once again the Quincy Family YMCA is stepping up to join forces with the pool to give families and kids more resources for summer fun. In a press release sent out by the Quincy Family YMCA,

both the pool and the YMCA will continue to provide resources and recreation for the community for the 2021 season.

Hour of operation for the pool will be Monday through Saturday 1 pm to 6 pm and Sunday 2 pm to 6 pm, and continuing again this year family swim nights which will take place every Thursday throughout the summer. Sponsored by Blessing Health Systems, family swim nights will run from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm so that families can spend time together in a fun and safe atmosphere. The admission for family swim night is free, plus there will be food, drinks and a DJ playing music.

There will be more fun active throughout the summer that both the pool and the Quincy Family YMCA are looking forward to planning and bring to the community. I love that the pool is able to open this summer, I know there was some worry that it wouldn't due to lifeguard shortages, but now it seems that things are right on track to open just as school is finishing up in Quincy.
