Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood will be inducted into the Music City Walk of Fame in Nashville in September.

The country music power couple will become the 64th and 65th music stars to receive the honor. They are being inducted in recognition of more than their musical accomplishments. In addition to selling more than 12 million albums and earning multiple Grammy, CMA and ACM Awards, Yearwood has written three New York Times best-selling cookbooks, hosted six seasons of her Emmy Award-winning Food Network show, Trisha’s Southern Kitchen, and debuted a line of cookware, Trisha’s Precious Metals, as well as her own home furnishings line with Klaussner Home Furnishings, the Trisha Yearwood Home Collection.

Brooks is the top-selling solo artist in U.S. history with more than 136 million albums sold, according to the RIAA. He has won multiple Grammy, CMA and ACM Awards, been inducted into the International Songwriters Hall of Fame, the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame and the Country Music Hall of Fame. Brooks is also active in charity work, including performing five concerts in two days in 2008 to assist fire relief efforts in California, and performing nine sold-out concerts in six days in 2010 to raise money after widespread flooding affected many areas in Nashville.

“Trisha and Garth are two great artists who represent what makes Nashville special,” Nashville Mayor Karl Dean says in a press release. “They are musicians. They are entrepreneurs. And they are generous community advocates. The way they care about Nashville is as inspiring as their music. Garth stood strong with the city during the 2010 flood recovery, and we will never forget that. The city of Nashville is proud to recognize their accomplishments as individuals through inducting them into the Walk of Fame, and we are thrilled they will be our first husband-wife team to receive this honor.”

“Their impact individually and collectively on Nashville’s musical heritage is immeasurable and has spanned decades,” adds Ken Levitan, Chairman of the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp. Board of Directors. “Their worldwide success has helped shine a spotlight on Music City and been a catalyst for millions of fans to come here.”

The induction will take place at the Music City Walk of Fame in Nashville on Sept. 10, 2015 at 2PM.
