A Frankford man is in the Marion County Jail on drug and weapons charges.

Hannibal Police report officers assigned to the Anti-Crime Enforcement Unit saw a male, identified as 19 year old Nathaniel Mueller of Frankford, standing near the intersection of Hope and South Levering about 2:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Mueller was seen hiding a backpack in a nearby vehicle. Officers searched Mueller, finding marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia. A search of the vehicle revealed a large amount of marijuana and materials associated with drug distribution.

Officers also recovered a handgun that had been reported stolen from Florissant, Missouri.

Mueller was officially charged Wednesday with delivery of a controlled substance, receiving stolen property and unlawful use of a weapon.

Mueller is in the Marion County Jail on $25,000 bond.
