A relocated fair, an old thresher's reunion, softball for a good cause and a couple of ice cream socials are on the weekend events calendar.

The Vandalia Area Fair, moved from the fairgrounds to downtown Vandalia because of all the rain in the area, continues through Saturday. The decorated bicycles and tricycles, the parade and the pet show that were postponed earlier in the week were all rescheduled for Friday. Jake Gill provides the entertainment Friday, with Heather Buchanan on stage Saturday night.

The Mark Twain Old Threshers 46th annual reunion continues through Sunday at the fairgrounds in Paris. Friday's schedule includes a baby show, and an amateur/farm draft team pull. On Saturday, there's a parade, an antique car and truck show, a miniature draft/pony pull, a kiddie pedal pull and a washer tournament, with entertainment both nights by Ben Van Dyke and the Rumblestrips Band. The reunion wraps up with a horse show Sunday.

The Hannibal Arts Council hosts an Arty Party Friday from 7-9 p.m. at the HAC office.

Hannibal's Fraternal Order of Police and Hannibal Firefighters Local 1211 host their 4th annual Guns and Hoses softball game is Friday night at 7:05 p.m. at Clemens Field. The proceeds benefit both organizations' charitable causes.

Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, south of the Quincy Airport, hosts a Homemade Ice Cream Social Saturday from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. for a free will offering.

Big Creek Presbyterian Church in Rensselaer hosts a free ice cream social Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the church.

And, the Tri-State Lugnuts latest Endless Summer Cruise-In night is Saturday beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the parking lot of the Quincy Mall.
