Along with the usual array of Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter services at churches around the area from Thursday night through Sunday morning, there are other traditional Easter events this weekend worthy of mention.

Also on Good Friday, the Barry Community Chorus presents its annual Easter Cantata at 7:30 p.m. in the United Methodist Church in Barry, Illinois.

On Saturday, the Hannibal Evening Kiwanis host their annual all you can eat Pancake Day from 7 a.m. till noon at the Hannibal High School cafeteria.

And, the Hannibal Early Bird Kiwanis sponsors its 28th annual Easter Egg Hunt at Hannibal-LaGrange University. Prize giveaways start at 9 a.m., with the hunt for over 10,000 plastic eggs beginning at 10.
